at a slower speed with a reduced vocabulary for English learners
or those with limited English. Each program is a half hour in length
and consists of news events as well as topics on American culture, education,
and science. Special English programs are broadcast around the world
seven days a week and can be heard on the Internet or VOA radio. The
archived audio reports and stories on the VOA Special English website
include written transcripts so that users can read along as they
listen.
